Joseph M. Stewart, MD, FACOG
Dr. Stewart began his career in medicine by joining Ob-Gyn Associates in 1993. He completed his Ob/Gyn residency in his hometown of Akron, Ohio.  He graduated from Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio, and completed his pre-medical studies at the University of Akron. Dr. Stewart is board certified in the specialty of obstetrics and gynecology and is licensed to practice medicine in Illinois.

Dr. Stewart has earned the reputation amongst his colleagues as being an excellent surgeon. He is exceptionally skilled in vaginal surgery and advanced laparoscopic surgery. Throughout his career he has taken a personal interest in redefining best of practice in cesarean section technique.

Dr. Stewart is an active physician leader at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. He has served as Chairman of the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 2nd VP for the medical staff, Chairman of the Quality and Peer Review Committee for the hospital, and is currently the 1st VP of the medical staff and Chairman of the Credentials Committee at Saint Anthony Medical Center.
